Ultimate Manual Tire Changer™ Instructions
Tire Changer LITE Instructions
- Assemble manual tire changer (not included) per instructions and attach securely to a solid, level surface.
- After breaking the beads, place wheel onto the center post making sure the valve stem is facing up and the lug pin is sticking through a lug hole on the wheel.
It is recommended that you drill a hole in the tire changer mounting surface to allow for a lug bolt and nut or lug nut and bolt to pass through. This securely attaches the wheel to the tire changer preventing damage to the wheel.

(The cone will work on wheels with a hub opening size up to 64mm). For larger hub openings use the “spider post” that was included with your manual tire changer. The tapered side of the spider post faces down.
- Install post cap so that it presses against the cone or spider post and secures the wheel to the stand.
- Install Ultimate Manual Tire Changer LITE assembly over post cap.
- Adjust center guide distance and height of duckhead mount arm so the duckhead rides around lip of wheel.
- Tighten adjustment bolts.
- Lubricate outside bead along with the duckhead using tire lube or soapy water.
- Place a tire iron (not included) under the bead of the tire and use the duckhead to unseat bead of tire from wheel by prying back on tire iron against the duckhead.
- While keeping pressure on tire iron, interlock mount/dismount bar between post cap and duckhead mount bar.
- Using the post cap for leverage, rotate duckhead counter clockwise enough so that the tire iron can be easily removed.
- Continue rotating the duckhead around the wheel until the tire completely unseats from the outside bead.
- Lubricate the inside bead along with the duckhead using tire lube or soapy water (except low profile tires).
- Repeat dismount process for inside bead to completely remove tire.
Dismounting
- Lubricate wheel along inside and outside bead of replacement tire with tire lube or soapy water.
- With the wheel and modified tire changer assembly installed on the tire machine, place tire over center post of tire machine making sure that tire markings such as rotational direction, inside/outside mounting placement, valve stem location, etc. are observed.
- Position inside bead of tire over duckhead at an angle so that the duckhead pushes the tire below the lip of the wheel.
- Using the post cap for leverage, rotate duckhead counter clockwise until the inside bead is fully installed.
- Position outside bead of tire over duckhead at an angle so that the duckhead pushes the tire below the lip of the wheel.
- Using the post cap for leverage, rotate duckhead counter clockwise until the outside bead is fully installed.
You may need to use a rim clamp (not included) to keep the outside bead of the tire in the drop center while rotating the duckhead.
